Christina Propst, MD, has practiced General Pediatrics in Houston, Texas, for 25 years. Dr. Christina Propst was born in New York City and raised by immigrant parents. She grew up bilingual in German and English. She attended Horace Mann School, where she graduated Cum Laude and excelled in academics, athletics, and the arts. She later studied Politics at Princeton University, graduating Cum Laude in 1991, before teaching English in Japan for two years through the Princeton-in-Asia program. She earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1998, finishing in the top 5% of her class. She went on to complete her pediatric residency at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. During her academic years, she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received awards, including the Herbert B. Rothschild, M.D. Award and the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation. She has been active beyond clinical practice, volunteering during the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Harvey and working with advocacy groups focused on children’s health and safety. She also played an essential role during the COVID-19 pandemic by educating the public on prevention, treatment, and vaccines. Alongside her professional service, she and her family support many charitable causes that serve both local and global needs. Throughout her career, she has balanced her medical responsibilities with family life. Married for over 30 years, she and her husband have raised their children while she has continued to hold her roles in pediatrics and the community.
