Artist | Thinker | Collector of Fragments “I collect what the world discards, and from those fragments, I build soulscapes.” I’m Deborah Ram Mozes, a multidisciplinary artist rooted in Indonesia, driven by an insatiable curiosity for the raw, the broken, and the beautifully unfinished. With over two decades in the garment and retail industries and a formal education in fine art from Bandung Institute of Technology, I’ve built a practice that rebels against perfection and embraces the poetic fragments of life. My work is deeply paper-based — cutting, carving, layering, engraving — a tactile ritual that echoes both tradition and rebellion. I see my process as a conversation between memory, resilience, and time. Often described as a woman with a gentleman’s soul, my art embodies contrasts: delicate yet stubborn, emotional yet analytical, grounded yet spiritual. I draw from personal narratives, national identity, and collective memory — merging them with digital tools, AI explorations, and material interventions. My studio is where the analogue meets the algorithm. I work across sculpture, printmaking, and installation — each piece whispering its own quiet resistance. Through my art, I don't just aim to create beauty, but to invite stillness, provoke thought, and carve space for honest reflection in a world that moves too fast.
