I began my journey with an unassuming "Drawing- You Can Do It!" class at Keyano College. It was a transformative experience, taking me back to my childhood love of creating images, but also taking advantage of new skills developed in my post-secondary education and subsequent IT career. It was also immediately addictive! I've enjoyed experimenting with many media since then, from watercolour painting, to printmaking, to acrylic and oil painting, and I seem to have settled into a mixed media painting/sculpting approach that primarily uses acrylic pigments for colour. My work is available from the Daffodil Gallery in Edmonton, the Art Gallery of St. Albert, Studio Connexion Gallery in Nakusp, and the Visual Arts Studio Association in St. Albert where I am a resident artist. In addition to exhibiting my work locally, I have become quite involved in the Edmonton area arts scene, as an owner of the Daffodil Gallery, a Past (2012 & 2013) President of the Society of Western Canadian Artists, the Fund Development Chair and Webmaster for the Visual Arts Studio Association of St. Albert, and a member of Night of Artists.
