I am kind of like a jubilant puppy with a hopelessly analytical mind. We'll go out for a picnic and as soon as the door opens I'll rush wildly to the edge, only to dig my heels in desperately trying to stop short of the precipice. If I avoid careening off into space, then I'll sniff around curiously for a while until everyone figures I'm not going to do anything stoopid! afterall. The next time someone thinks to check on me I'll have vanished, and the only consolation is that no one heard a splash. A small voice in the back will say, "Maybe he learned to fly..." the crowd will nod in hopeful agreement and quietly filter off into the night.
