I am a psychiatric nurse, teacher, counselor, case manager, coordinator and advocate for special needs, of all kinds. I am above all, a mom. My children have some special needs, like ADHD, issues with addiction and emotional issues, and one child has Downs Syndrome and late onset ASD, with congenital heart defects, corrected. I am an author and writer and I love helping others. I have written blogs, newsletters and articles concerning needs of all kinds. I have a BA degree in English Lit, a AA degree in ECE, and numerous certifications that deal with addiction, mental illness and emotional disorders. I am well versed and experienced with many cultures and beliefs, Native Americans, African Americans, Sicilian and some Asian. I believe in celebrating all and every culture and teach diversity in schools and workplaces. I'm a strong advocate for the LGBTQi community and do my best to enlighten those who are ignorant about them. I'm always fighting for the underdog and will be heard in many of my writings. My goal is to educate without preaching and harmony and full inclusion is my biggest mission. I do this with my writing.I have 2 crafty felines, a sweet but challenged dog and a hunting hound that doesnt hunt. I review music and I am working on a few projects dealing with research for Downs Syndrome, chronic medical issues, mental health awareness, discrimination and a few mystery novels. I support and help our military, especially soldiers with mental issues, like preventing suicide.Yes, I am a diversified person with a need to share, entertain, educate and advocate. I want to initiate change that's needed and wanted. I write because I AM.
