I'm an ESL teacher from Ontario, Canada who will be living out the dream of teaching abroad in Brazil. I was inspired to teach English when, as a political studies undergraduate, I realized my thesis work on diasporas (immigrant groups) was sadly uninformed by personal experience. As an ESL teacher in Canada I've had the enlightening experience of meeting some interesting and diverse people from around the world. Soon the tables will be turned, and I'll become the outsider trying to settle into a new country!
