So my name is Sunil Lath, a bit of a modern day nomad, adventurer and nature lover. I go by the nick name Sunny to those near and dear to me. But i also very much feel like a Sunny when I am out on the road and in the bush exploring new places and experiences, which tend to be in sunny, hot and generally dry locations. Hence the site name Sunny Explora. I am a qualified Software Engineer, who has spent most of my professional career building enterprise web applications. But this website is about something completely different. I am bush / nature lover, so much so that I've taken time out of my professional career to spend extended periods in Southern Africa. The longest stint was a 6 month course, where I trained to become a field guide, also known out here in Africa as a Safari Guide, Ranger etc. During this period I became fond of photographing my encounters and experiences in nature. So the result is this website, a photo journal and blog that documents the inspirational moments leading up to several trips of a fortunate lifetime. The biggest of which is yet to come and is the reason for this site existing. As i take a long wished for road trip through some of the best known Southern African Wildlife and Nature countries I will continue to document my work on this site. Countries on my list include: Namibia, Botswana, Zambia... and who knows what else I have the time and money for. I will try and keep my blog updated and this website refreshed with the pictures I take on my way.
