Five years ago I suddenly lost the majority of my hearing. This blog tells the story of my personal experience of sudden hearing loss. I also want to blog about the various voluntary work I do for deaf-related charities and the specific events I attend. My aim is to increase deaf awareness and highlight the emotional impact of hearing loss, as well as showing the positive sides I've gained though this amazing learning experience and the wonderful people I've met through my journey. I also like to blog about the arts and describing events which have good accessibility for all. I feel this is really important as it improves your confidence to get out and about and highlights that hearing loss should not limit your life experiences. I feel very passionate about this.
