Winthrop Edward Jeanfreau is an entrepreneur, executive, and civic educator with more than 30 years of experience across industries, including manufacturing, finance, education, and firearms training. Throughout his career, he has founded 12 companies, successfully exited eight, and influenced more than $680 million in cumulative revenue. His professional work has ranged from leading startups to serving in higher education, and he holds certifications in business analysis, financial services, and firearms instruction. He is also a published author and a respected advocate of constitutional education, committed to helping others gain knowledge and preparation for success. Win Jeanfreau completed his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication with a minor in Business at the University of Utah, followed by an MBA at the University of Oregon. These studies provided a strong academic foundation that supported his ability to build and lead organizations in diverse industries. His entrepreneurial career began in the 1990s with Kameleon International, a vending franchise company that expanded into 10 states. Through proprietary intellectual property and a structured training model, he created a system that achieved 100% franchisee longevity, a rare accomplishment in franchising. After establishing it as a profitable and scalable operation, the business was sold. At the same time, Win co-owned Shred-it Oregon, part of a global document destruction brand. Competing in a network of over 100 locations nationwide, his branch became the fastest-growing and most profitable. He led sales for three years, setting records before selling that business at a strong return. In 1999, he founded Aperion Audio, a direct-to-consumer high-fidelity audio company. Long before e-commerce became common, he saw the potential of selling directly to customers online. By overseeing product design, manufacturing, and marketing, he positioned the company as a global brand with award-winning products. This venture was also eventually sold, marking another milestone in his entrepreneurial career. Jeanfreau later co-founded a financial services firm in Portland that merged with one of Oregon’s leading independent wealth management firms. His approach included hosting financial literacy seminars at community colleges, providing both education and guidance to clients. That company was later merged into a national wealth advisory group. From 2013 to 2018, he worked at Utah Valley University in roles including Director of the Small Business Development Center and Acting Associate Vice-President of Academic Outreach and Economic Development. During his time there, the Business Resource Center facilitated more than $20 million in capital infusion and supported the creation of 143 jobs in three years. In more recent years, he has focused on firearms training and constitutional education. As a certified instructor and Constitution Coach, he emphasizes safety, accuracy, and situational awareness while also teaching citizens about their rights and responsibilities under the Constitution. His instruction covers handguns, rifles, and shotguns, combining technical training with civic education. His service has extended to faith and community as well. Jeanfreau completed a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New England, served six years as a Scoutmaster, and served four years as a Civil Air Patrol Captain. He also continues to support charitable efforts and serves on the Women’s Leadership Forum board. Alongside these experiences, he has earned multiple certifications in business, leadership, and financial programs. He has shared his knowledge through writing, conference presentations, and radio appearances. In his personal life, he enjoys hiking, tennis, scuba diving, motorcycling, piloting, and spending time with his family, especially on the water. Win Jeanfreau has built a career and life defined by entrepreneurship, education, service, and commitment to community values.
